Something Different

Whenever I live in a new place I like to decorate it a little differently than most. This is the den or spare room, my latest painting. The lines were eyeballed and the stencil hand drawn. On to the next room in a few weeks.

This may not be what you think.  On a bed of wild strawberries, (which taste awful; like sand) an odd half- developed pine cone has landed.  I couldn't tell what it was until I found others in various stages, none of which quite looked so much like a pineapple.

This is photo reference taken on Easter at the Huntington Gardens just outside of Pasadena.   I know better than to ask to paint there...unless you want a lot of grief. Hopefully I can keep it simple and will post the results later for commentary.
